John Bishop Photography

John Bishop assisted several top photographers in London before following his girlfriend to Paris in 1966, aged 20. The girlfriend, a budding model, had been chosen to be the house model at Lanvin, a top French fashion house, John started to take test pictures for various top Paris model agencies, building up a portfolio, after 6 months, the girlfriend moved back to London, John stayed for 7 years working for top magazines and advertising agencies, but it was the French capital that inspired his love for fashion, food and art.

He moved to New York in 1973 but preferred life in Europe and returned to London a year later with his French wife Bernadette.

With the experience of Paris and New York behind him, he worked for British Vogue, Harpers, Tatler. ELLE, Marie Claire, along with many top European magazines and top advertising campaigns. He still lives in London with Bernadette. They have 2 sons, Sebastian & Oliver.
